overriding a veto
What is it called when a bill becomes law if the President does not sign it nor veto it ,after so many days?
All three branches are limited and that is where the term checks and balances comes from. The legislative branch has to send the bill to the president before it becomes law. If the presidents wants a person for a position he has to have congress approval.
Comgress
No, they do not pass laws, they pass Bills. Technically they pass a Bill which, once it passes both house of Congress is sent to the President and when the President signs it, THEN it becomes a law.
Then the vice president-elect becomes president.
Bills have to go through the House of Representatives. After that it has to go through the Senate before being sent to the President. The majority must be in favor of the bill. It becomes a law automatically if the president waits ten days and congress is still in session. The President has 10 days to sign the bill.
The vice-president becomes President if the president can not function.
participating in a conference committee
The vice president would become the acting president.
it depends on what you mean by recommend the legislative branch passes all laws and a bill (the document that becomes a law) can only be proposed by a member of the legislative branch but technically the president (who is part of the executive branch) or any other person can ask a person in the legislative branch to propose a bill
If both die then the Speaker of the House becomes president
When the president accepts another country as a nation of the world community it becomes a partner of other countries in the world community. However, the president is not held responsible for the actions of the country.
