Apollo 8 was the first mission to take men to the moon. They only orbited it, and did not land.

Apollo 11 was the first mission to actually land on the moon. Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the moon, followed by Buzz Aldrin. The previous Apollo missions had been in earth or lunar orbit.
