The Taishō Emperor was the emperer of Japan from 1912-1926 when he died. His name was Yoshihito. He was the 123rd emperer of Japan. He was succeeded by Emperor Hirohito (aka Emperor Showa), who was the emperor during WW2, who ruled from 1926 to 1989.
