You may have noticed that your coin has the same design as ALL pre-1999 quarters, before the State designs were introduced. Your coin is worth about $3 but only for its silver content. Expect to get maybe half that from a metal dealer because they are paying wholesale prices.
For an American $20, it shows President Andrew Jackson on the front and the White House on the back. On the new Canadian $20, it shows Queen Elizabeth II on the front and National Vimy Memorial on the back. If this was about a different country, please be more specific next time.
On the front of the quarter is George Washington's face. On the back is an eagle (there is no person depicted for the reverse side).

The state of Oregon is the only state flag in the United States that has a different image on each side. The front has the state seal, the "State of Oregon," and "1859" the year of their admission to the USA. The back side shows the profile of a beaver and a tree stump. The flag is dark blue with yellow/gold images.
The State Quarter series wasn't introduced until 1999, so before that all quarters featured an eagle on the back. The State series ran up through 2008, featuring five different designs per year, in order of when each state became a state (Delaware was first, Hawaii was last). In 2009, there were six different designs, featuring Washington DC and five U.S. territories.

As of 2016, US quarters are in the middle of the "America the Beautiful" series, where five different designs per year are used, eventually featuring a national park from every state and territory.
