Who ever posted the last answer was wrong. Ethyl alcohol, or ethanol, is the alcohol found in Alcoholic Beverages. Its structure is CH3CH2OH. It has many uses such as a fuel additive, an industrial solvent, or as a starting ingredient in many consumer goods.
