Those raised in captivity may. Also, if a youngling is weak or not favorable for survival, the mother will possibly leave it. I also have heard about a mother panda having twins, and I think they typically will only care for one of their offspring, leaving ther other to die. I suppose they have their biological reasons for it, but I can't say I understand.

∙ 11y agoYes, in cases on my farm if a cow gives birth to twins it may reject the weaker of the two, also cows with their first calf may not know what to do with it in which case they may just reject it
