There is no information regarding the distance the Israelites traveled with Moses in the desert. It is said that they traveled for forty years.

According to the Old Testament, the Israelites (the ancestors of today's Jews) wandered the wilderness (often mistranslated as desert) for 40 years. Yes it was only God that saved the Israelites in the forty years of wandering.
