Many stories in the Bible, especially in the Old Testament, show us we need God in our lives. Maybe the story of Joseph is a good one. In Genesis chapters 30 - 50 you can read about Joseph. Joseph was sold by his brothers and taken to Egypt to be a slave. But God was with him and God made Joseph prosper in spite of the circumstances Joseph found himself in. Joseph became second in charge over all of Egypt
1 Kings
There IS no place in the Bible where an innkeeper speaks to Joseph and Mary about anything. The only thing the Bible says is that they stayed in the stable because there was no place for them in the lodging room.(Luke 2:6-7)
Genesis 37:3 "Now Israel [Jacob] loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colors." This chapter tells of the jealousy of Joseph's brothers, how they faked his death, and brought the "coat of many colors" back to their father, after ripping it and putting a goat's blood on it, to appear as if Joseph had been killed by a wild animal.
It starts in Genesis 12......
Luke 1 tells the story.
This is the Book of Exodus.
The Book of Acts.
Damon and Pythias are characters of Greek legend. They do not appear in the Bible.
