carbon monoxide is poisonous. carbon dioxide is poisonous if you breth in to much of it. :D :(
It's totally chemically neutral, being an inert gas; but breathing it is dangerous because it will displace the oxygen in the air. You can suffocate without realizing it, just like with helium.
As long as you are breathing in adequate oxygen, it does not matter how much argon you breathe in. It is not dangerous at all.
