The B button on the formatting toolbar. Using the keyboard you can press and hold the Ctrl key and then press B. Also, if you hold the Ctrl key and press the 2 key, it will bold things or remove bolding.
The I button will turn on and off italics. So if something is already in italics, clicking on the I will revert it back.

Delete is the command that removes selected cells from the worksheet and shifts the remaining rows up or shifts the remaining columns to the left
It copies what is in the selected cell or cells at that time.

The clear all option in the clear button removes all data and formulas, including number formats, conditional formats, and borders, from the cell. The cleared cells remain as blank or unformatted cells on the worksheet.
Excel will attempt to sum cells by selecting nearby cells which it presumes are the ones to be selected and summed. Usually this will be the cells above. If you select a range of cells and then click the Autosum button it will use the selected cells and sum them, putting the total at the bottom of the column, or it can do it for several columns, giving a total for each.
Cells can be selected by the mouse or the keyboard. Pressing and hold the left mouse button and dragging across cells will select them. Pressing and holding the shift hey and then using the cursor keys can select cells. The F8 key can also be used to select cells.

The Delete key will do it, once you have those cells selected. You can also use the Undo button on the screen, or Ctrl - Z.
