the keyboard was around long before the mouse. the mouse didn't come onto it's own until operating systems became gui.
I think the BBC Microcomputer had the option for a mouse.

First, if I had a wireless keyboard and mouse I would check the batteries in the mouse and/or the keyboard or check the wireless connection.
