Most of the DNA inside a human cell is contained in the nucleus, but a small amount is found in the mitochondria. The nucleus is an organelle found inside most cells, but not red blood cells. The nucleus is not a cell, just like a dinning room is not a house.

All the cells in a human body with the exception of the sex cells and red blood cells contain the same amount of DNA in the nucleus. Some cells contain more mitochondria which have a little extra DNA so probably muscle or liver cells would contain the most as they need the most energy and so have the most mitochondria.

To work out which cell in the world contains the most DNA we could try looking at which species has the largest genome. So far the biggest animal genome sequenced is that of Protopterus aethiopicus, the Marbled lungfish at 132.83pg of DNA per cell. So probably Marble lung fish muscle or liver cells will contain the most DNA in an animal species. We do not know the size of every species genome yet so this is really a guess.

Well for Study Island, the answer is, in fact, Nucleus

In plants, Cells that transport water against the force of gravity are found to contain many more mitochondria than some other plant cells What is the reason for this?

They need more energy to transport water against the force of gravity.

Yes they do, fat cells have very little function and therefore require much less energy than muscle cells.

Do muscle cells have more or less mitochondria than other animal cells?

Muscle cells have more mitochondria than other animal cells because the need more energy to preform their job, and mitochondria produce the energy for the cell.

Why would some cells have more Golgi Bodies than others?

Plant cell contain more Golgi bodies because in plants they have to synthesize the cell wall. Animal cell contain one Golgi body in a cell while plants have many.plant cells contain more golgi bodies because in plant they hane to synthesis their cell wall.by naheed angel khatti (nkbs)

Is it true or false that prokaryotic cells contain more DNA than eukaryotic cells?

False. Prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells both contain DNA, but eukaryotic cells store their DNA in a nucleus, whereas prokaryotic cells have their DNA everywhere throughout the cell.
