Many Plants prepare their own food by photosynthesis and have flowers, foliage and fruits, remain seated at one place. They neither bark, bite or run away like many animals.
Plants grow in a permanent site, and get their food and water from their immediate environment without moving away from that site.
Plants also make and store special biochemicals (called 'secondary metabolites') which help to protect them from predators/enemies.

A grouping of plants similar to the phylum of animals is called a division or phylum. Just like animals are categorized into phyla, plants are categorized into divisions based on their characteristics and evolutionary relationships. Each division represents a large group of plant species with common characteristics and ancestry.
They both have common characteristics as they depend on oxygen for life. These living things follow a universal circle of life with birth, reproduction and death.
It is common in animals. Plants are not infected by the same things that animals are.
Some common characteristics of all plants are that they contain a cell wall. Other characteristics are making their own food and that plants contain a cuticle.
Hybrids are more common in plants .
Plants and animals are physically well adapted for that area. Plants and animals that live in a specific biome share similar characteristics with other plants and animals in that biome throughout the world.
Protista are neither plants nor animals. They have characteristics of both plants and animals. They make their own food just like plants but move around like animals.
Biologists could study animals and plants as two types of living things. Animals include a wide variety of species with diverse characteristics and behaviors, while plants encompass a range of species with unique adaptations for photosynthesis and reproduction.
