Asia is the largest continent, covering about 30% of the world's land area. Africa is the second largest, occupying around 20% of the world's land area. North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia/Oceania each take up less than 20% of the world's land area.
Every continent but Asia is less than three times the size of Europe. However, Africa is the continent closest to being three times the size of Europe. Africa is about 2.97 times the size of Europe.
1. Asia - 44,700,000 sq km2. Africa - 30,300,000 sq km3. North America - 24,360,000 sq km4. South America - 17,770,000 sq km5. Antarctica - 14,000,000 sq km (island continent)6. Europe - 9,940,000 sq km7. Australia - 7,686,850 sq km (island continent)Europe is the world's second-smallest continent by surface area, covering about 9,940,000 sq km.Australia is the world's smallest continent with a landmass of 7,686,850 sq km.EuropeAustralia is smaller than Europe by around 1.5 million km2 (989,000 sq miles).
This would be Antarctia - there are less than 50 people on the continent and yet the land mass area is close to that of Australia.
Europe in 1800's more or less dominated the world.
Europe is a continent. It has an area of over 10 million km² and consists of over 50 countries. There are over 730 million people living there. By comparison the USA has an area of less than 10 million km² and a population of less than 310 million people. I think saying that you need "an address" is a bit vague in the circumstances.
the land which have less or scracity of water is called dry land area such as deserts are dry and xerophytic
No. It takes up a lot less than that. It only takes up about 2% of the Earth's surface and about 6.8% of its land area.
Because the Europeans did not know what to do with the land they gave the land back to the people but the first chance Thomas Jefferson had he got his land back for least the amount the Europe took it for.For less than what they got it for and the word is barging for less than what the Europe got from the people than less than what the people got back from the Europe.
New Hampshire has less land area than Iowa. New Hampshire is the 46th largest U.S. state based on total area and the 44th largest U.S. state based on land area. Iowa is the 26th largest U.S. state based on total area and the 23rd largest U.S. state based on land area.
The Southern Hemisphere!
That depends whom you ask. In the English-speaking world, America is two continents, North America and South America, with the dividing line between Panama and Colombia. However, in France, America is considered a single continent, since it is a single contiguous land mass; never mind that Europe and Asia are also a single contiguous land mass, with far less separation between them than North and South America.
