Low coupling
Mixing desirable traits in one purebred plant with another one purebred plant that has another desirable trait. The result is a hybrid. For example: in animals, a cross between a donkey and a horse produces a mule.
Genotype is the genetic makeup of a trait.
Trait is controlled by more than one pair of genes.
A sex linked trait can only be found on the x chromosome such as hemophilia, color blindness, and muscular dystrophy. These are traits that can only be inherited through chromosomes instead of regular traits coming through genes.
A genetic trait is passed on through the genes. Which means that disease from exposure to chemicals is not inherited.
Natural selection is when organisms with a desirable trait mate and produce babies with that trait. The process of elimination will eventually diminish any that do not have that trait/
Because the offspring of an organism with a desirable inherited trait is more likely to survive than the offspring of an organism with a desirable acquired trait (because the offspring of an organism with a desirable acquired trait will not have its parent's desirable trait).
Bearing
precipitous just means steep or large drop in price. unexpected or desirable has nothing to do with the word and would be a separate trait entirely.
It depends on what trait is being selected for. Whatever that trait is, it has to be a trait that will improve the BB breed, not unimprove it. How that works is that purebred cattle are selected for a dominant desirable trait and bred together to produce more cattle with that trait. Any other cattle that have the recessive undesirable trait are culled.

depending the trait you find most desirable on the animal. like if i want the charcoal color of a Siamese cat's ears, then i would breed the cat, and whatever kitten has that trait, get the kitten, then breed it again
