It could be anything, from a cloggedthermostat, faulty radiator cap, or even the coolant you use. Some require orange coolant not green. It could also be that the radiator is dirty inside, or the radiator is being blocked and air cannot hit it.

Bank 2 is the even numbered cylinders. Cylinder 1 is closest to serpentine belt and all cylinders on that side of engine are odd numbers. Bank 2 is all the even numbered cylinders and the O2 sensor is screwed into exhaust pipe somewhere between the even numbered cylinders and the cat converter.

NO! the Montana is a front wheel drive minivan and the firebird is a rear wheel drive, even if they were both rear wheel drive for some reason, the firebird engine would shred the wimpy minivan trans and it would be just wrong to put a minivan trans in a firebird.

1-6-5-4-3-2. Just as an FYI, the engine bank has odd cylinders (1-3-5) on the driver's side of the engine (front to rear) while the even cylinders are on the passenger side of the engine (front to rear). I just tuned mine up yesterday and have the service manual so I did do a double check.
