Counterclockwise to loosen
Pump it out.
I am needing to change the transmission fluid on my 2001 Dodge Durango, and I don't know where the location of the plug to drain the transmission fluid is at!
There is no drain plug. Unbolt the bottom pan of the tranny and pull the filter off.
at drivers side of radiator
If it's like most cars it doesn't have a drain plug for the tranny, you have to unbolt the tranny pan and take it down.
Most rads have a drain at the bottom,on one of the end tanks. If you can not find it just take the lower rad hose off.
on the bottom left corner of the radiator you will find a little hose sticking out and a small on/off nob to drain it
Turn counter clockwise to remove.
Which drain plug are you trying to locate?
It is located on the passanger side of the engine firewall.Probable can't see it from the top side, too much A/C clutter.Inspect it from the bottom side.
located in the transmission oil pan. unbolt pan and it will be visible. may want to drain transmission first though. = )
Yours may come off the front of the radiator. My friend's had a trap door just below it. I believe it was on the driver's side. His ended up being plugged and we diconnected the lower hose to drain it.
