One year is much the same as another, with a leap year having the extra day. It does not make it better or worse than other years. Individual years in your life might be special for some reason, but not due to their length.

How often does a leap a year occur?

=every 4 years==_______________________________________==According to the Gregorian calendar, leap years occur in any year whose number is divisible by four, except:==1. "Century" years, numbers divisible by 100, are NOT leap years, except;==2. Year numbers that are evenly divisible by 400 ARE leap years.==So 1992 and 1996 were leap years because they are divisible by 4. 1900 was NOT a leap year even though it is divisible by 4, because it is divisible by 100. And 2000 WAS a leap year because it was divisible by 400.==So 2008 was, and 2012 will be, and 2016 will be. But the year 2100 will NOT be a leap year.=

Future leap years?

Leap Years are years divisible by four, with two exceptions. 1. "Century" year numbers (divisible evenly by 100) are not leap years. 2. Years divisible evenly by 400 ARE leap years. So years like 1992 and 1996 were leap years. Century years like 1900 or 2100 are NOT leap years. But 2000 was a leap year, and 2400 will be.

Will 2100 be a leap year and why?

No- years ending in 00 are not leap years unless they are divisible by 400 like 2000 was.

WHEN IS THE OLYMPIC NOT A LEAP YEAR?

The winter Olympics are never held during a leap year, they occur mostly in February of even-numbered non leap years. The summer Olympics occur in leap years (most of the time), with the exception of century years like 1900 and 2100, which are not leap years.

Why will there not be a leap year in 2100?

Years that are evenly divisible by 100 are not leap years unless the are evenly divisible by 400 (like 2000).

What factor is used to determine a century leap-year?

Only century years divisible by 400 qualify to be a leap year. Years divisible by 4 but by 100 are NOT leap years, thus 1700, 1800, and 1900 were not leap years but 2000 was. 2100, 2200 and 2300 will not be leap years but 2400 will be.

How many every year do you have a leap year?

Generally, every fourth year is a leap year. However, "century" years like 1800 and 1900 are not leap years unless they are divisible by 400. So 2000 _was_ a leap year.

How many leap years will there be from 2000 to 3000 inclusive?

Leap years are any years evenly divisible by four, with two exceptions. So years like 2004 and 2008 are leap years. The two exceptions:Any "century" year evenly divisible by 100 is NOT a leap year, so 1900 was not a leap year and 2100 will not be a leap year, except:Any year number divisible by 400 IS a leap year, so 2000 was and 2400 will be leap years.Of the 1000 years between 2001 and 3000, there are 250 "divisible by 4" years, minus 10 "century" years plus 2 "divisible by 400" years (2400 and 2800) gives 242 leap years between 2001 and 3000. Add 2000, and there are 243 leap years between 2000 and 3000, inclusive.

What years are not leap years?

The following are not leap years in the Gregorian calendar:year numbers that are not evenly divisible by 4, like 2009, 2010 and 2011year numbers that are evenly divisible by 100 but not evenly divisible by 400, like 1900 and 2100

What is the last leap year in this century?

2096 will be a leap year, as it is divisible by 4. 2100 will not be a leap year, as, while it is divisible by 4, as a multiple of 100, it is not divisible also by 400.The next year that is a multiple of 100 that will be a leap year is 2400.

Will 2012 be a leap year and was 2000 a leap year?

2012 is a leap year.2000 was a leap year, and so were 2004 and 2008. Leap years will fall in almost every year that is evenly divisible by 4.The exception is for years that end in "00" (1900, 2000, 2100). These will not be leap years unless, like 2000, they are also evenly divisible by 400.

How many leap years have occurred since 2004?

4, because there is one every four years and there was one in 2008. So there has been one in 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2008 have been leap years. In general, a year is a leap year if it is evenly divisible by 4. Most people also remember the exception which is a year is not a leap year if it ends in "00" (ie., the year is even divisable by 100). So years like 1972, 1980, and 1996 are leap years, but 1800 and 1900 are not. So why then is a 2000 a leap year? What many folks do not realize is that the 100 year exception itself has an exception. Years that are evenly divisable by 400 are leap years. So 2000 as well as 2400 will be leap years.
