You can do it through the Name Manager. When cells are selected you can click in the Name Box and type a name there.
The Name Box.
The name box shows the address of the current cell selected or the name of that cell if a special name has been given to it. It can also show the name of a range. You can type in a cell reference or a range name in the name box and it will bring you to that location. The name box appears to the left of the formula bar.
It will display either the current cell or a name of a named range if that range is selected. If the range selected is not named, then the name box show the cell reference of the active cell.
What is a function where each domain element is mapped to the same range element.
A cell reference is how an individual cell is identified. It is the column of the cell and the row of the cell. So cell N45 is in column N and row 45. The name box shows what cell or named range is currently selected, making it easier to know where you are on the spreadsheet. It is also used to go to a cell or range by typing the cell reference or the name of the range into it.
There is always one active cell. Its address will be displayed in the Name box, or the name of a named cell or named range. If a named range is selected, there is still only one active cell, but the name of the range will be shown in preference to the active cell's address.
Select the cell that you want to create a name for. Go to the Insert menu and choose the Name option and then the Define Name option. On Excel 2007 and later version, you can do it through the Name Manager. You can also right-click and select Name a Range and follow the directions.
You can click on the particular cell that you want to use in the formula using the mouse. You could also type the name of the cell if a name for the cell has been specified though it would be longer than the cell reference.
Click on any cell, or click and drag on any range, then release. There will be a small black square in the lower-right corner of the cell or range. That's the "copy" handle, or to give it its correct name, the Fill Handle. If you park your cursor over that square, your cursor will change from a big white plus sign to a smaller black one. This is the copy cursor. If you click and drag to extend the range, it will do a sort-of-intelligent copy of the existing cell or range into the new area. I say "sort of intelligent copy", because if your cell contained the word "January", it will copy "February", "March", "April", and so on. If your cell contains "Quarter 1", it will fill in "Quarter 2", "Quarter 3" and "Quarter 4" before going on to "Quarter 1" again. If your selected range contains the numbers 1 and 3, Excel will fill in odd numbers.

There are different ways you could do it. You could go into the name manager and pick the name of the existing range. It will show the cell addresses for the range. You can change them to be the range you want.Select the new range. Then add it as a new named range, using the existing name you want to change. It will ask if you want to replace it. You can do that and then the range will have the new parameters. There are different ways you could do it. You could go into the name manager and pick the name of the existing range.
