Jesus noticed him, said he was coming to his house next, and Zacchaeus 'left the tree' quickly to prepare for his visit (Luke 19:1-6). Zacchaeus was, however, just curious, and NOT a " follower of Jesus" when he was in the tree. He became one after they met (Luke 19:7-10)
