there both really fun but depending on what lendaries u want is the problom if you get soulsilver (i got this one ) you can get groudon lugia latios entei raikou and suicune with heart gold you get kyorge oh-ho latias entei raikou and suicune hope that's helps

p.s. cyndaquil is a great starter i beat the game in 3 days with him

well i heard you can catch lugia and ho oh in both games but you get growlithe in heart gold and vulpix in soul silver and i like growlithe better so i say heart gold

but i don't have the game yet but im thinking of getting heart gold
