How did geography influence the historical development of America?

Well, it influenced America by agricultural ways because when they discovered that certain crops couldn't grow in certain areas, they would trade for seeds that could grow in the places that they lived in. In a way, this is why there was a desire to have certain spices if you think about it. Because all of those people wanted to have certain spices but couldn't get them because of the location of their home which meant that the climate was wrong and some other things as well. Now the only reason why the first people to colonize on U.S. soil were Brits, is because the land was owned by someone else and the nearest location to the seas so that they could import and export materials and goods was right at the coast of wherever they settled. (I think that it's between Rhode Island and Virginia.) But as they grew separate from the maother colony, they began to spread around. They had found out that crops grew better in other places and so they moved there. ANd also because it was a little crowded/ I hope that you found this useful because you just wasted your time reading what some dumb 13 year old girl who's only in the 8th grade wrote. Don't belive everything that you hear or read.
