definitely the sg
Yes. Much better. In my opinion, Gibson is the best guitar brand. Squier, is a part of fender and generally speaking, Squier guitars are not as good as fender.
I dont recommend Squires for gigs. Squires are like the cheap versions of Fenders. Ex: Squire is to Fender as Epiphone is to Gibson If you mean "squire" the model of fender guitar its great, but the knockoff of fender isn't so great
Get a Fender Squire, they are cheap and easy to play for beginners!
There are many... Ibanez, Rickenbacker, Yamaha, Gibson, Washburn, BC Rich, Steinberger, to name a few, but there are guitars made to look similar to the classic fender stratocaster like the Yamaha Pacifica, the Squire (made by Fender) and the Torch Vintage.
The main differences between a Squire and a Fender guitar are the quality of materials used, craftsmanship, and price. Fender guitars are typically higher quality, made in the USA, and more expensive, while Squier guitars are more affordable and made overseas.
the difference is that the head of the guitar is a different shape. and fender is a better brand if you will like to discuss this question some more you can contact me at bmalle@optonline.net
The Squire Fender electric guitar features a solid body, typically made of basswood or agathis, with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. It usually has three single-coil pickups, a tremolo bridge, and a 5-way pickup selector switch. The scale length is around 25.5 inches, and it often has 21 or 22 frets. Overall, the Squire Fender electric guitar is known for its affordability, playability, and versatility.
No, a Johnson guitar is NOT better than a Squire...Johnson guitars are junk.
To me its about how they feel and how they sound ! Some bands just play a guitar cause they get payed to . so kids see them playing them and they sell allot of them ! right . marketing . Gibson Fender Ibanez Those are the big ones . I play a Fender strat and its wonderful . and I also Play a Ibanez Jem Steve vai signature and its also a sick looking guitar but you can also throw it downa flight of stares and it will still be in tune . Oh yeah and all those big named guitar makers have other series of guitars but with a diff brand name - Gibson=Epiphone Fender = Squire
Probably the Stratocaster (Most famosuly made by Fender, or Squire, Fender's sister company), Les Paul (Gibson or Epiphone) and an SG (Gibson or Epiphone). Apart from these, classic flying V's, Firebirds, and randy rhoads. :)
The answer to this is simple. Gibson guitars are hand crafted. Along with many other brands if a guitar is hand crafted it will only mean one thing, more damage to your wallet. That's why larger companies make affordable guitars to the public as well, the only difference is that the cheaper you go the more chance that the guitar was made overseas by machines. Fender has Squire, Gibson has Epiphone, and ESP has LTD....I could go on, but you get the point.
Don't take this the wrong way, but roughly 70 bucks at the most. Squire is the watered down Fender look a likes that Fender also happens to own. Not very high quality sorry to say. However, a long time ago Fender used to make a guitar I believe was called the Squire but it was the name of the guitar not the sub brand, for lack of a better term. That might be worth quite a few bucks but don't get your hopes up because if it looks anything like new and if it says "Squire by Fender" then you're out of luck.
