The answer to this is simple. Gibson Guitars are hand crafted. Along with many other brands if a guitar is hand crafted it will only mean one thing, more damage to your wallet. That's why larger companies make affordable guitars to the public as well, the only difference is that the cheaper you go the more chance that the guitar was made overseas by machines. Fender has Squire, Gibson has Epiphone, and ESP has LTD....I could go on, but you get the point.
