Depends on which cartridges- there are dozens of different .32s. If you mean a .32 S&W, the .380 has more energy- but the term "knockdown power" is pretty misleading. You should not expect any handgun to "knock" a person down. Works in the movies, not in real life.

Is 177 or 22 better for hunting?

.22 caliber may be a few FPS slower but it will have more knock down power and hit harder. I also suggest using hunting pellets called hollow-point pellets

What is the knock down power on a 12 gauge shotgun?

The knock down power of a 12 gauge shotgun depends on the ammo used. Using bird shot it had low knockdown power, however using double or triple ought buck packs quite a lot more. A slug would have even more knockdown power.

Does it matter on pellet guns what caliber pellet you use?

Yes, but it depends on what you want to use the gun for. If you want a high velocity pellet, then go with the .177 caliber. It is lighter, therefore it will travel faster. But if it breaks the sound barrier your accuracy is lost. If you want an air gun for hunting, then buy a .22 caliber. They are much larger and heavier resulting in more accuracy and more knock-down power on impact. Those are the most common pellet diameters.

What cal pellet does the silver streak take?

The Sheridan Silver streak takes a 20 Caliber Pellet. You can find them at a good sporting good store or online (see the link below). Remember a heaver pellet will fly slower but it will fly straighter and have more "knock down power" than a fast light weight pellet that is more affected by crosswind.

Is it better if the caliber on a gun is lower or higher?

Depends on the application. If you mean power, the higher the caliber, the more powerful it is. for example, a .22 caliber rifle is much less powerful than a .50 caliber rifle.

What is the difference between a 40 caliber and 50 caliber bullet?

Size and relative power. A .40 caliber bullet is .40 of an inch and the entire cartridge is 28.8 millimeters long. A .50 caliber (handgun) bullet is .50 of an inch and the entire cartridge is 40.99 millimeters long. The .50 caliber has more powder, more velocity, and more muzzle energy.

What is the best caliber air gun for shooting birds?

It's not so much the caliber you want, its your selection of pellet design. A .177 is sufficient to hunt birds but I would select a hunting pellet (hollow point) to use in the rifle. Hollow points will deform on impact and make a clean kill. .20 and .22 pellets have a little more knock down power but the .177 will have a slightly further range. On the other side .20 and .22 caliber pellets are slightly slower in (FPS) Feet Per second, they, because of the addition weight of the pellet, will fly straighter in a crosswind then a .177 pellet.

What has the most stopping power a 38 caliber or a 380 caliber hand gun?

Depends- WHICH 38 caliber- and which cartridge. The .38 S&W is a relatively weak cartridge, but the .38 Special has been loaded to much higher energies. SOME .38 specials have more stopping power than SOME .380s. and vice versa. The .38 Super Auto has MUCH more power than the .380.
