Actually, the iPod IS Apple. All other music players are called MP3s, Apple came out with the actual iPod. But yes, the iPod Touch is definitely the best iPod by far. There are the iPods Apple makes:

iPod Classic = If you want LOTS of storage (160gb), room for tons of movies, and simple games.

iPod Nano = A simpler iPod, and GREAT for music, pictures, and a few addicting games.

the iPod touch because it is the same as the iPhone exept it doesn't have a phone and a camera. The best thing about the iPod touch is that u you can use the internet and you can get good games on it but if you buy the nano they will oready be games init but they will be boring but they wont be games in the touch but you can get games in it but you have to pay but you can jailbrake it if you don't know what jailbrake means it means you can get free games apps and music and videos for but you cant jailbrake nano so go for the touch you will enjoy it
