Before you take any dietary supplement, consult with your doctor. Each individual has different dietary needs. Men and women also differ significantly when it comes to supplementing with iron.
Take an iron supplement or eat foods rich in iron.
Yes we can take
Deficiency refers to a lack or insufficiency of something that is required for proper functioning or health. It can apply to various aspects such as essential nutrients in the body, resources, or skills needed to accomplish a task.
Iron is more readily absorbed in an acidic environment (gastric juices) but since omeprazole can decrease the gastric acid produced, it is good to take vitamin C (ascorbic acid) when taking an iron supplement (both of which should be if advised by your physician) or one can simply take a vitamin C supplement if taking omeprazole when no iron supplement is needed (as would be in the case of iron deficiency anemia which is determined by a blood test).
Take the Calcium and Vit D at least 3-4 hours apart from your iron supplement. Take your iron with vitamin C for best absorption and avoid black tea with your iron too. :-)
It's an iron supplement.
I'm anemic so I know all about the iron thing. Red meat is full of iron!! Steak and hamburger have the highest iron counts. It's good to take a multivitamin or iron supplement too. Raisins and pretzels also get the iron up.
Take iron supplements, or even better eat more foods which contain iron such as spicach, broccoli, lentils, and wheatgerm. A couple of tablespoons of blackstrap molasses can do wonders for people who are anemic.
An iron supplement, or something else, don't take it unless you're sure
I take a pill form of iron supplement and it definitely causes flatulence in me! I'm surfing the web right now to see is there's anything that can stop it, besides stopping the iron. I am anemic and must take the supplement. I'm considering trying the slow-release iron pills. Good luck with your problem. I hope we both get answers soon!
One result would be iron deficiency anemia. This results in lack of energy and paleness of skin. One cure for iron defiency would be to eat iron-rich foods and/or take an iron supplement or a daily vitamin with iron.
This supplement provides the vitamins and iron that aren't normally taken in by regular diet. The liquid form is just much easier to take than vitamin tablets.
