Neither a ferret or chinchilla are appropriate as pets for children. Exotic pets need special care according to their instinct behaviors. They are not like dogs and cats, which would be more appropriate for a child's pet

∙ 8y agoDepending on how much work you want to put into the animal. Chinchilla's you can leave in the cage and just feed and water (although taking them out is better for the animal). Dogs you can't, you have to walk them, play with them and train them

∙ 14y agoit depends...i think ferrets are the best by far because there cuddly and cute and can be trained but not good if you scared of biting and you need to be committed
