The Kindle Fire is WAY better if all you want to do is read books.
Of these three, the best is the New Ipad (a/k/a Ipad 3).
If you want a really lightweight tablet for reading books, get the Kindle Fire. If you want to play games, do email and a lot of web browsing, get the iPad.
You should wait for the iPad mini with retina display, or else you might as well buy a kindle fire.
The iPad is much bigger and the kindle fire is better with books and the kindle fire is cheaper in your original buy and it is cheaper in your App Store but the apple App Store is much bigger and they are both good with movies. But you have to remember the kindle is the insides of a ereader so it might glitch when you have apps open or you are watching a show so it is all what you need
I don't think so myself. The iPad is a little bit bigger. However, Amazon does sell Kindle cases. If you want one, go look at Amazon.

Use the kindle app.
I'm 17 and bought a Kindle Fire recently, and I think it works even better than my iPad. It's as fast as lightning, and I can do everything that I could do on an iPad but for almost $300 cheaper. To answer your question, they are DEFINITELY NOT slow.
