This is a subjective question and that means you will get different answers according to the people who live there. The population of the US is greater than the population of Canada. The inhabitable portions of the US are greater than in Canada. Canada has a different legal system than the United States. Some US states have the death penalty whereas Canada does not have the death penalty. Canada has a nationalized health care system and as of May 14, 2009, the United States' health care system is not universal or nationalized. This could be changing as the US moves more toward socialistic ideals. The two party political system in the US is rapidly changing.Also Canada has a larger landmass even including the states that don't contact the greater part of America
