Since the iPod Touch does not have a call function, I would suggest an iPhone.
Answer:
This depends on what you want to do. The iPhone has many gadgets, that simplify your life on a trip (banking, etc.). It will more likely have connection to the internet, because it uses the cellphone network. With a Netbook you can do pretty much the same stuff as with an iPhone. You can as well call, using a program like Skype. But you need to have WiFi. So for a quick research on the web, the Iphone is better. But if you go in the internet for more than a couple of seconds you should decide for a netbook. It just simply works better for browsing. I got one my self.
If you now want to play those little games for the iPhone and iTouch, that's fine. But you just can not play on a netbook. If you attach a mouse, you eventually can play flasgames and so on, but if you want to game, get a real computer. iHope that helped! =)
Netbook is a mini computer whereas a iPod Touch is a product in which you can listen music, watch videos. I depend on your intended purpose but generally you are able to do more with a Netbook.
If you talk about which Netbook to buy, I would recommend Intel Atom embedded Netbooks. As they are lightweight and easy to take anywhere. Intel Netbooks is much lesser price as compare with Laptop and with a great battery life (approx. to 10- 12 Hrs.).
On a netbook, you cannot play videos on YouTube; on an iPod Touch you can. You cannot play games on a netbook.

No. A Netbook is a smaller, lightweight laptop computer, with the usual components: memory, a disk drive, a keyboard, a touch pad and a display screen. It can be plugged into an Ethernet cable. An ipod is a much simpler device. Some (like the Nano) have menory, a simple control, and that's it. The iPod Touch goes further, with wi-fi connectivity and a touchscreen display, but it's still a handheld device and has limited storage as compared to a netbook.
You Should Get An Ipod Touch It is way better
