well i can only say that the g36 is more tactical than the ak and i believe they have the same cal.also the ak is heavyer then the g36c wich makes it more versatile for combat,i also think the ak is for more like...medium range(longer with scopes!)and the g36c is more for S.W.A.T teams on close quarters-bottom line theyre both great assault rifles but i choose the g3 plain(not the g36c or k)and the AK with no attachments.LOL hpe i helped
