Which is better for a happy life......to always be satisfied and happy but always scared of the opposite sex and be joyful or to be a sexually active person that gets depressed from time to time?

This is the question. What do you want? If mere contentment is your goal, then the monastic life is for you. Renounce the world and devote yourself to achieving peace of mind. Sadly, though, there is plenty of worldly politics and personal conflict even among the most withdrawn orders.
On the other hand, if you want to have a life, get married and raise a family. Take your place in the world and know the joys and sorrows that constitute true happiness, remembering that the monastic way is always there for later, when your children are on their own.
