With the old plastics they tend to scratch and become cloudy over time. Glass does not scratch so easilly. The new plastics that are used in the very large public aquaria nowadays is much harder, cheaper and less likely to crack and let go. As to which is better that is a matter for the individual.
Most fish tanks are built in plastics because platic does not break easily.Glass people still use now for their fish tanks at home but i rarely see them, because glass fish tanks can break easily although is transparent
A plastic tank designed for use with live fish will be perfectly safe. Aside from safety, plastic tanks differ from glass tanks in their durability (generally greater) and their clarity (generally less). Yes they are. Make sure to buy the tank new because older tanks can have problems with leaks.
yes and because it is much stronger than plastic. its also an easy clean material
There are several types of fish tanks available for purchase, including glass tanks, acrylic tanks, and custom-built tanks. Glass tanks are the most common and affordable option, while acrylic tanks are lighter and more durable. Custom-built tanks can be tailored to specific sizes and shapes.
It is cheaper and safer for use with young children, harder to brake. Only small or very large "perspex" tanks are plastic as they go cloudy with age and get scratched easily. Kids can't brake the plastic easily. Perspex is used in large tanks, 3 metres plus due to cost, $5000 perspex or $17000 glass
fish in tanks are magnified by the glass and the water.......... in my round fish bowl my guppies look huge
fish tank
no they need at least two fish tanks if its for a pet
Whether a tank side reflects images or not will depend entirely on the light in and around the tank and the angles at which it stikes the plastic.
You can buy algae control chemicals, but it will kill your snails if you have any. I use a scrub brush with a texture of SOS pads, but it's plastic so it wont scratch the glass.
totally in tanks I've had a fish in a tank and in a bowl and the tank ones lived longer
Glass. Or thick Plastic. Filled with water. Get smart -_-
