Fish tank if it is properly taken care of. It also does not stink. Water may spill from time to time, but small amounts of fresh water is usually no harm. It all comes down to what you deal with better. Do you enjoy water and observation, or do you enjoy dry and interaction.
Just keep the cage clean. and clean it like u would clean a fish tank.
Put them in a stinking fish aquarium. those stupid little escape artists will escape the cruddy little wire ones. i had 6 hamsters every one in a wire hamster cage escaped.
no
clean his or her cage 3 times a day
Yes, you can use a fish tank as hamster cage and it works really well ~ better than some of the wire cages because there is no chance of the hamster's feet getting caught in the wire. The tanks are easy to clean and provide a lot of room for a wheel and toys for your hamsters. Just make sure to get the wire lids that are made for the tank and tank clips if your wheel or toys are very tall.
if it doesnt have thin tunnels then yes... i think lol NO NO NO!!!!!! hamster cages are TOTALLY unsuitable for mice as they have calapsible rib cages. A suitable cage is a fully plastic cage with NO bars. Or a fish tank with a decent lid- hope this helps
I am a 12-year-old girl and I have two hamsters, Digger and Cookie. I wanted a hamster as my first pet and I got one from my godmother. Cookie was from a pet store and she only cost £6.00. Her cage was very cheap as well - if you buy a cage costing over £25.00 you get a free starter set, which includes bedding, food, disinfectant, treats, and a book about how to look after hamsters.Hamsters are very easy to look after : you put them in a ball costing no more than £5.00 when cleaning their cage. The dirty bedding goes into a plastic bag and you put the new bedding in.If wondering about a hamster, you could buy a fish instead. All you do with fish is feed them and keep the aquarium clean. If the fish works out, you should be responsible enough to get a hamster.I love my hamsters. They are great pets and have become part of the family. When they're young, they poop a lot more. But it's worth it to see something so small have a personality and grow up. I got Cookie as a baby and she's all grown up now. I got Digger when he was 1, and that was two years ago. He's holding on, but most hamsters only live for two or three years. My friend's hamster lived until he was 7!Hamsters are great pets to love and care for.Apart from fish, hamsters are one of the easiest pets to look after, especially for the younger ones. It is advised to buy a SYRIAN hamster for children as they are bigger (making them easier to hold), and generally easier to tame. I have two hamsters myself. I love them to bits and they are really easy to care for, and need a very small amount of food compared to a cat or dog. Buy a metal or plastic cage. Do not buy a wooden cage as the wood will soak up the hamster's urine, making it difficult to clean and deodorize. Hamsters are wonderful pets and that ten-year-old should buy a hamster!I would say to research which hamsters bite the least, Russian hamsters are known to bite a lot more than other hamsters. My boy hamster has never bitten me, yet my female hamster has. I suggest getting a male Syrian or golden hamster. Golden hamsters are bigger in size compared to a Syrian hamster though.
Yes, it is okay to keep a dwarf hamster in a cleaned out fish tank as long as it meets their needs. Ensure ventilation, bedding, and hideouts are provided, as well as a suitable wheel and toys for enrichment. Make sure the tank is large enough and has a secure lid to prevent escapes.
You should probably really clean it out really well first, so it is sanatized so it won't make your fish sick. Or you could buy a brand new aquarium so then you won't have to worry if you cleaned it good enough or not, so then your fish can live healthily.
because if the eggs were left unguarded, other fish would eat them. and it makes it easier for the dad to clean.
A fish trap is also commonly known as a fish basket, fish cage, or fyke net.
Robo hamsters are too small for that kind of a cage... they can squeeze through the bars. It would like it, yes, but my sisters mouse (same size as these hamsters) had a cage like that and was trying to get through the bars and suffocated. For my robo hamsters I use a huge fish tank which they like fine
