A bottle of fizzy cola is heavier.

Weight is related to mass. Whenever something loses material and doesn't gain any to replace it, it loses mass. The bottle of fizzy cola has everything the bottle of flat cola has, but the bottle of flat cola has lost some carbon dioxide.

Although carbon dioxide is a gas, and doesn't weigh much more than air, the carbon dioxide in cola is compressed and dissolved and is at a higher pressure and density than carbon dioxide at normal atmospheric pressure. Therefore there is a greater mass of it present. However, the difference in weight would still not be great between the fizzy cola and the flat cola, and it would be difficult to detect.

Why does a flat sealed bottle of fizzy drink when shaken expand the bottle when no new air has got in?

All fizzy drinks contain carbon dioxide dissolved in water (some of it forming carbonic acid). When in this dissolved state the CO2 doesn't take up much space. Shaking the bottle will release the CO2 gas .and one it is no longer dissolved it will tend to take up more space.

What happens to the gas when you take the lid off a bottle of Coca Cola?

The carbon dioxide gas in solution (added under pressure) begins to diffuse into the air, and eventually most will escape, leaving the beverage flat (uncarbonated). If you unwisely agitate (shake) the cola before opening, the gas molecules will gain energy and will more quickly diffuse from the open bottle: the cola will explosively gush out of the bottle with it.

Why is the pH of Coca-Cola less than that of lemonade?

A lower pH level indicates that a substance is more acidic. The reason Coca-Cola is more acidic than lemonade is because the carbonic acid, the stuff that makes cola fizzy, is stronger in acidity and greater in quantity in cola than the citric acid in lemonade. Because of this, flat soda is much less acidic.

Why should fizzy drink bottles have tight-fitting caps?

Fizzy drink bottles or carbonated beverages are full of carbon dioxide. If the cap is loose or removed, the gas will slowly escape making the drink flat.
