Sirius is about 2.1 times as massive as our Sun and theoretical models show that the CNO cycle is the dominant source of energy in stars heavier than about 1.5 times the mass of the Sun and the CNO cycle produces energy at 17×106 K. Thus this must be (as far as we presently understand) the temperature of the core of Sirius.

Sirius is hotter in surface temperature but much smaller. It's an A-type star about 8.8 light-years away with an absolute magnitude of 1.4, so it's about 20 times brighter than the Sun. Seen from Sirius the Sun would be a second-magnitude star.

Canopus is F-type and 200 light-years away with an absolute magnitude of -4.7, which makes it about 5000 times as bright as the Sun, or 250 times brighter than Sirius. Seen from Canopus the Sun would be about an 8th-magnitude star.
