the "5" portion means that there is 5mg of hydrocodone in the product. it does not matter that it is vicodin or norco, both contain hydrocodone. the difference is that vicodin products usually contain a ratio of 1:100 hydrocone to acetaminophen( example 5/500 or 7.5/750) where Norco may have 5 or 10 mg hydrocodone but usually not more than 325mg acetaminophen(example 5/325 or 10/325). Generally Norco may have less acetaminophen overall regardless of the hydrocodone content. People who will need hydrocodone for longer periods may be better off with the lower amount of acetaminophen in Norco due to the potential organ toxicity of acetaminophen. Acetaminophen is in a class of drugs known as NSAIDs - non steroidal anti-imflammatory drugs, such as Tylenol. Hydrocodone products require a prescription whereas acetaminophen, like Tylenol, can be purchased over the counter. Why pharmaceutical manufacturers include the acetaminophen component with the hydrocodone is not made clear to the consumer but people with liver problems might be safer with less acetaminophen injestion. This information should be confirmed with your physician for accuracy and correctness.
Just as two people have more strength than one person, more of a medicine has a stronger effect than less of a medicine, and 500 is greater than 325.
tranquility bath salt 500 mg is stronger and better
5 Mg of Hydrocodone and 500 Mg of Acetaminophen(Tylenol)
Yes and no. Hydrocodone 5-325 and 5-500 contain the same amount of Hydrocodone but 5-325 contains less acetiminophen. Wheras the 5-500 contains 5 mg of hydrocodone and 500 mg of acetiminophen, the 5-325 contains 5 mg of hydrocodone and 325 mg of acetiminophen. The 5-325 is better for you.
is oxycodone 10-325MG stronger then oxycodone 5-3 Mg

1000 mg = 1 g so 325 mg = 325/1000 = 0.325 grams. Simple.1000 mg = 1 g so 325 mg = 325/1000 = 0.325 grams. Simple.1000 mg = 1 g so 325 mg = 325/1000 = 0.325 grams. Simple.1000 mg = 1 g so 325 mg = 325/1000 = 0.325 grams. Simple.
Both have 10 MG's of Oxycodone while the 350 and 325 refer to Tylenol or Aspirin products that have been added so 10-350 lets say has 10 MG's of Oxy. and 350 MG of Tylenol. 10-325 has 10 MG Oxy. and 325 MG of Tylenol for example.
The only difference between these two pills is the amount of acetaminophen (Tylenol) contained within. As to which one is more effective, it can depend on what kind of pain you have. If it is an 'inflammatory' type of pain that Tylenol works really well against, more Tylenol (10/500) would be better. On the other hand, some people report that the hydrocodone is more effective with less Tylenol, and prefer the 10/325 combination instead. I believe the phrase "More killer, less filler" is used to express this preference :) Hope that helps!
325 mg = 0.325 g
Percocet contains a combination of acetaminophen and oxycodone. Oxycodone is an opioid pain medication. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic. Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever that increases the effects of oxycodone. Tablets: 2.5/325, 5/325, 7.5/500, 10/650 mg (oxycodone/acetaminophen); Capsules: 5/500 mg; Solution: 5/325 mg per teaspoonful.
Everyone is different , but generally oxycodone is better.
