There are many Cadillac models and years that are considered classics. However, there is one that is simply iconic... the 1959. It has the largest tail fins ever placed on an American car and more Chrome and trim than you can imagine. The cars were very long... nearly 19 feet and low to the ground. They had powerful V8 engines and burned A LOT of gas. The gas tanks we usually 26 gallons and the cars typically got around 8-12 miles per gallon. Owners of these cars don't drive them very often... so insuring one so you may be surprised to know that insuring one is pretty inexpensive. If you use a classic car as a daily driver, however, the insurance is about what you would pay for a regular car.
