Neither is better than the other; it's a matter of which you feel you would enjoy more. If you like to help people, and you have good 'people skills' then you may want to be a doctor. If you prefer a more industrial atmosphere, and have an interest in design and construction, then you may prefer to be an engineer. Both professions require a lot of college, but you can become an engineer in four years of college, while it takes almost three times that long to become a doctor. Which ever you choose, do it because it's what you feel you will really enjoy doing and not because of the pay, work hours, etc. since this may be your career for the rest of your life.
Engineers are the builders and designers of the world. We get very little attention but what we do impacts every individual in society. Gasoline is produced from refineries designed by chemical engineers, building and bridges are up because of civil engineers and computer are getting better each day because of the work of electrical engineers. We don't get much attention like doctors and lawyers but we do a great amount for society every single day!
A doctor makes people feel better while a biomedical engineer engineers things such as the heart monitor.
Engineers study theoretical science and, after a dedicate study, they apply their knowledge and practical intelligence, to BUILD THINGS, and try to make this world a better place to live!
A quantity surveyor is construction cost engineer, who is involved in cost estimates for building works. He prepares bills of quantities from drawings prepared by civil engineers and architects. he's know for cost palnning and control of construction. he also prepares contracts documents and manages the project till completion alongside other professionals. A civil engineer on the other hand is a designer mostly concerned with the structural design of structures such as buildings, bridges, roads, railways, dams, pipelines, airfields etc. he doesnt care about cost he cares about the structure not collapsing. I trained as a quantity surveyor then later studied civil engineering so i fully understand the difference between the two.
they contributed pencils, paper and rulers for the shop managers.
It is not helpful to claim that doctors are better than farmers; farming is an honorable profession and one upon which everybody, including doctors, depends, since we all need to eat. It is also true that it is much easier to learn how to farm, than to become a doctor. Medicine is a more skilled profession. Also, generally more highly paid.
The fact is that a doctor's earnings in bulk depend on availability of patients which is usually present but what about infant doctors not allowed to operate that need to grow from stage to stage...but engineering as soon as you start and you are goood you are well paid nd it doesn't stop there..it keeps increasing

Association of Building Engineers's motto is 'Probitate et arte'.
"Better" is subjective. Mechanical engineers get trained in a broad range of subjects, including computer skills. IT engineers get much deeper training in computer.
We need both farmers and doctors to remain healthy. Also, there are quite a few other professions that we need to carry on a healthy society - like teachers, policement, businesspeople, etc. Discussions about what profession is more important seem to me quite idle, and will only tend to cause conflicts.
