The qibla is facing Mecca. So wherever you are you have to find the direction that faces Mecca. Which I think is northeast or close to that range.
It differs from one country to another. All compass faces north. So depending on where you are. You have to adjust accordingly. Qibla compass have a dial which to be tune to your country location. So in relation to the direction of the qibla and the compass, different people prays at different angles while still praying to the same direction.
This assumes that you're referring to north east or south east qiblah direction in North America. The earlier mosques built in North America were facing south east however later on many switched to North east with the exception of few.
North East is the dominant position in North America. All the qiblah locaters whether on-line or compass devices will point to north east. Some believe that the qiblah direction should be south east.
It's a matter of **ijtihad** amongst the scholars. Abdullah Bin Bayyah a renouned islamic scholar and expert in fiqh of minorities is of this opinion. He believes that praying behind the imam who's facing the opposite direction you face is fine and should not be a divisive issue.
*Independent reasoning of scholars of Islamic text according to their best of ability in the light of Quran & Sunnah.
Note: Not official definition of Ijtihad, paraphrased
From the US it's East.
Regardless of where a Muslim is, s/he faces east to pray.
I believe you are referring to a Qibla Compass. These are used to determine the direction of the Qibla, where Muslims face when praying.
Whatever direction the red arrow points to is North from that you can infer other direction, However QiblaLocator makes finding the Qibla (direction to Mecca) as easy as looking up a map.

This varies from model to model. Some models use GPS signals to determine their current location and orientation. The Qibla direction is then calculated and displayed on the screen. For more information look up Global Positioning System.
Each elevation is labelled in relation to the compass direction it faces.

Muslims determine the direction of Mecca by using a compass or a qibla app on their smartphones. They align themselves towards the Kaaba, a holy structure in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, which serves as the focal point for their prayers. This practice is known as facing the qibla.
You can determine the direction on a map without a compass rose by using cardinal direction.
