The Diocese of the Bishop of Rome's other name is the Holy See.
The name given to the main Christian "holy book" would probably be the Holy Bible, although the New Testament was not put together and given that status until the end of the fourth century, in A.D. 382 at the Council of Rome by Pope Damasus I.
2000 was the last Holy Year.
the country in the holy lands is england rome and italy
That is an old saying, but it's not in the Bible.
The term Holy See refers to the office of the Bishop of Rome - the pope. Every Episcopal is perceived to be holy. So the holy see also called the apostolic sea refers to the see of Rome.
Vatican City, home of the Pope and religious center of the Roman Catholic church, is considered to be the "holy land" located in Rome.
Rome has never ruled the Church. Our Blessed Lord, Jesus Christ, is the head of the Church, and rules through His Holy Spirit, and His Vicar on earth, the Holy Father, who lives in the Vatican - which is in Rome, but Rome is a secular city. The Holy Father has ruled from there since St. Peter went there in the first century.
