The king of the beasts is a Lion. Romans,Greek,and Indian king Ashoka saw the lion as the king of the beasts.Romans allways wonders which cat is the stronger one. so do we. So Romans did contests between all the cats bears elephants and other. Lion was favored and cheered by the crowds cause of its unmatchable success in fights was declared King of the beast. Roman flags are all about lions(battle ensignia) before war. Greek favored lions. India favored lions and tiger is the beautiful animal of India and it was made the national animal ( not for the reason that India thinks its king of the beasts) India knows better. where lion is power of India. ( ashoka emblem) consists of 3 lions which are on army bases of India. Lion was clearly the dominant fighter. there have been cases of it loosing, but those were only rare. The lion has always been the king of the beasts. biased people will try to get you false information. i like both the cats. they both are successful until poaching,hunting and other ways to kill these beasts. we have to work on conserving them not make them do unessisary fighting. here's my answer. i wish this helps
