Styrophoam because it has a lot of particles squished together, while the ceramic cup has only fiber and very few particles. And the more particles in any substance equals a warmer being.
Styrofoam because it has a thick layer and is a good insulator.Paper and plastic are could alternatives but Styrofoam would work better, therefore glass would be the worst one to use because it would only keep it warm for a couple of minutes.
styrofoam, but warning fammable and unsafe for the environment!
thermos cup
Styrofoam cups and caps. It keeps the heat in.
A roof made of zinc is hotter because, unlike ceramic, it reflects the sunlight and radiation off of the surface. On the other hand, ceramic absorbs the light, and the heat is trapped inside, so no heat escapes. Therefore, it is not as hot as the zinc would be.
Regular stainless steel irons can be hotter to the touch, while ceramic will be cooler.
Flat irons get hotter, so they do more damage.
If the containers are the same apart from the colour, no. But if the red container is more insulated than the blue one, yes If the blue is more insulated than the red, no.
Actually coffee does not stay hotter in a ceramic cup vs a Styrofoam cup, but would stay hotter in a ceramic cup vs a paper cup.A good insulator for a water based liquid will reduce conduction and convection. Styrofoam works well keeping coffee warm because it has a small mass and a large volume. The small mass helps eliminate conduction. The large volume is because the sintering process traps tiny pockets of air that help eliminate convection. With those two together you get hot coffee longer.
white or silver metallic. a vacuum insulated thermos mug will do even better, the the outside color doesn't matter.
It is designed to hang in the air, insulated from the hot metal walls of the oven, which could be (and usually are) hotter than the air or the food being cooked.
Ceramic BBQ grills have many advantages over traditional gas grills. Ceramic grills are easier to clean because they get much hotter in temperature and will burn everything down to ash which can simply be emptied. They do not have all the parts that a traditional gas grill has, so there is less risk of something breaking. They are cheaper to operate too - the fuel is about half the cost as traditional propane.
