I have Damon System Braces. They are way smaller, the wire bends easier (this is kinda a good thing) they are heat activated (You eat/drink hot stuff and the wire is activated to move), you have them on for a less aomunt of time and require less ortho visits then traditional braces. Easier to clean around too! I would ask your ortho if these are available. My orthodontist only uses Damon braces, actually.
Hope this helps, and if your getting braces, don't worry about it. You get used to them in no time and the "Do not eat" list can be a little exagerated sometimes. And they pay off in the long run. :)
