Pink braces turn orange because your oral hygiene is not good. Wearing braces makes keeping your mouth and teeth clean very challenging. But it is not impossible to accomplish. First, spent lots of time with your toothbrush, just your toothbrush, no toothpaste. Run the toothbrush over and over the braces for several minutes. Use a stopwatch if you have to. Most people can't tell how long they have brushed without a clock. You can't brush too much when you wear braces. Toothpaste is primarily a mouth freshener. The scrubbing action of the toothbrush is what cleans. Second, get an oral irrigator (Water Pik) and learn how to use it properly. Third, ask your orthodontist's staff what else you can do to keep your braces clean. They will show you.
You could always just bring your toothbrush and toothpaste to school. If that's any help?
Ahh, I remember when I had braces and brushing was a pain, however with the right equipment you can make if fairly quick and easy. I found that a toothbrush with soft bristles that weren't very coarse made it easier to really wiggle them under your brackets and around your wires; it was also a lot less painful at times. Although a toothbrush out of the store may be hard to find that has soft bristles try finding an old toothbrush that has been well used where the bristles have actually 'worn out' a little. I used my moms old one because she had just bought a new replacement. Just clean it really well before use, you can either go to the store and buy a toothbrush cleaning solution, or soak it in rubbing alcohol. Either way be sure to rinse it EXTREMELY well before use. Good luck!
He just got braces.
It's best to brush within five minutes after eating anything, even if you're just snacking, and especially after a meal. Brushing away cavity-causing bacteria helps keep your teeth cavity-free. Carry a travel toothbrush in a backpack, purse or briefcase to always have on hand for brushing away from home.
you would do the same thing just like you didnt have braces on.
it might be to the toothbrush but it might not so when the cold sores go brush your teeth with the same toothbrush if they come back its because of the toothbrush.
No, that's just nasty..
The toothbrush was invented in China around the 15th century. H N Wadsworth was just the first person to patent toothbrush.
Thank him, smile, and compliment him, too. Don't feel like this is a reason NOT to get your braces off. It's the best feeling in the world, and you'll be much happier with them off. No guy is worth keeping braces on, just because he said one thing.
yes it does hurt when you get your braces fixed. Its just like getting your braces put on again for the first time.
