A 1963 Volkswagen Super Beetle
The VW beetle line has just finished production oce again with model year 2011. It is possible that the line may return once again as it was revivied from the past once before.- - - - -The 2013 VW model lineup contains two Beetle models: a hardtop Beetle and a convertible Beetle. The car is longer than the "New Beetle" and, to me, looks more like a rear-engine Beetle than the "New Beetle" did.
The original name for the Volkswagen Beetle was literally translated as "the people's car".
The term "Beetle" was always used because of the German name for the car since 1938. Volkswagen used the name "Beetle" for a specific model from 1967.
Volkswagen Beetle. Was Ford Model T, until the VW surpassed it
Depending on the make/model Base prices ranged from $1,280-$7,200(vw Beetle and a rolls Royce), most were around $2,000.
The make of the car is the name of the company that makes it. The model is the specific name of the car. For example: Make = Bentley Model = Arnage Make = Chevrolet Model = Aveo
They call the car a beetle because of its shape. It is shaped like a large beetle
The VW Beetle is the best selling car of all time. The Ford Model T dominated the car market so much in its time that over 20% of the world's cars were Model T Fords. Probably, Ford would have the most total production, historically.
