Also a psychiatrist has to go through six years of medical school while a psychologist has to go through around 2 more years to get their masters. (Ph.D, Degrees, etc.)
Also for a psychologist, it depends what kind of psychologist your looking to be, it could range from around 38,000-92,000. Like many School Psychologists seem to make a lot. But experience is key in psychology.

∙ 14y agoA pediatrician is a medical doctor and a psychologist is a Ph.D. The medical school tuition is so high that few want to carry such a debt and the medical school is more selective than a University that offers psychologist degrees. The result is that, in the US, pediatricians will be paid in the 6 figures, at least, partly due to prestige and partly due to the investment the doctor has put in. These are all general statements. A famous psychologist (for example, who shows up in Oprah's show or the Morning Show regularly), I am sure, will have a higher income than any pediatrician who works pretty much unknown outside his/her practice.
