RAM memory is cleared when a computer is turned off.
RAM - is a temporary storage area for the computer to use. However - once the power is switched off - the RAM memory is erased. Therefore - any programs and data are stored on the hard-drive.

Shut down the system for a few seconds. Once all the power leaves from your memory, it will be cleared. Then, start the system back up.
ROM ROM is an acronym for Read Only Memory. The advantage of ROM is that its contents do not evaporate when the power is switched off. Therefore the program which needs to execute when the computer is first switched on is stored in a ROM chip on the computer's motherboard. Once the program stored in the ROM chip has finished initialising the hardware, it moves the head of the hard disk to track 0, reads the first sector of track 0 into memory, and then passes control to the short program stored in the first sector of the hard disk. To simplify a bit, it is the responsibility of that program to locate the operating system files on disk, and then begin the process of loading them. hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllo
RAM stores information for actively running programs so that data can be accessed and used rapidly. Contrast it to the hard drive where it has to physically write and read every bit of information, which would be far too slow to use for RAM.
Whatever it wants, it now has total control of your computer.
As many as your computer memory will hold. --> Raghu Raj
RAM is considered volatile memory because it loses data rapidly and has to be constantly refreshed. It also losses all its data once it loses power. Refference: Comptia A+ Seventh edition
Random access Memory is a memory which helps open programs in the computer to run properly this memory is removed once all of the computer is turned of you can add more RAM to make your computer faster to open programs if your computer has all the RAM in use you cannot open any more. Like you said an average computer has 4-6 GB of ram
It's so called random access memory. RAM is by itself a type of memory. Ram is a type of memory architecture that allows data to be stored temporarily as long as an electric current is supplied. As soon as power is lost, the content of the memory module is lost.
Either try disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes or have vehicle scanned and codes cleared
All RAM (Random Access Memory) requires power to work. Once the computer is shut down, the power is lost, and so is all the data stored in the RAM. RAM is designed this way so that it remains incredibly fast. Standby made on Computers saves your current session to RAM, and continues to provide power to the RAM in order for it to continue remembering your session. If such power was lost, so would be your session. Hibernate mode on Computers, however, saves the session to the Hard Drive, which does not require power to remember things. This enables Hibernate to be so much more power efficient than Standby, although Standby is faster to resume.
