p4 is getting old, amd 64 athlon x2 is newer and faster. however, it is also getting old now
The Intel 6th Generation i7 is much better than the AMD Athlon.
upgrade to Ati proeon xpress 200 if u have windows XP its really good i have it.
That is an extremely good computer. 2.6 gigahertz is very good in a computer. Plus, it has 4 gigabytes of RAM, which is top-of-the-line quality RAM. Dual core processors are also the best kind out available on the market, and are highly favored. Athlon is the next best thing for Intel, though Intel is generally better, Athlon is just as good as Intel, so it is a very good laptop. It also has 320 gigabytes on the hard drive, which is excellent for numerous picture and video files. It should operate extremely fast. That computer is a very good choice.
Intel core two duo 2.2 or moreddr2 ram at least 2 gb.gigabyte motherboard as it is better that Intel mother board and it has more built in agp ram that Intel does.lcd display at least 17 inch. hdd atleast 350 gb.DVD writer but not combo.
the famous for being ver great i7 is great. but any processor is fine. if you want to play games then you need a graphics card. a processor is for a hardcore internet user. but it wont matter if your using a really bad internet router
i would say the core i3 by far. the athlon II x2 250u is an ultra energy efficient cpu. while not a bad cpu at all and very good for daily use, the 250u is only 1.6 ghz. the i3s are dual core but the hyperthreading can make it "act" as a 4 core with certain apps. Benchmark results are as follows using Passmark CPU Mark AMD Athlon II X2 250uhas secured a score of 980. Intel core-i3 550 has secured a score of 3160.

There is no such thing as an "Intel Premium" processor, and the Intel Pentium is 16 years old.
AMD Athlon microprocessors are the awesome. They're 6 core meaning that it's processing power is equivalent to 6 amd separate processors.
The essential components for building a computer are the following: -CPU (Intel are good) -Mother Board -Ram -Case -Power Unit -CD Drive (not needed but some are only 15 USD) -Hard Drive -Graphics Card (Sometimes built in the computer) Hope this helps.
Intel celeron is the lowest processor Intel offers. Below is the list from best to worst: Intel core i7 Intel core i5 Intel core 2 quad Intel core 2 duo Intel core 2 solo Intel pentium Intel celeron For laptops: Intel core i7 Intel core 2 extreme Intel core 2 quad Intel core 2 duo Intel centrino Intel pentium Intel celeron
not really go for intel pretium
